Our Vision
Azerbaijani Socks strives to honor the traditions, cultures and artistry of Azerbaijan by helping preserve the craft of knitted socks. Azerbaijani Socks' vision is to provide fairly paid, flexible employment for women in the rural parts of Azerbaijan. We aim to create unique, handmade, cozy, high quality products that are sold globally. Each sock is knit with high-quality materials, hours of labor and modernized versions of traditional designs.

We invest in the lives of our employees and value them, not just the products they create. Our aim is wholistic support and care. Fair pay and flexible work hours provide financial support. Personal relationships between delegates and knitters provide emotional support.
Empowering Women
We employ financially needy women from rural areas (villages where other employment opportunities are scarce), so that they can provide for their families with diginity and honor. Allowing women to work from home helps them meet the needs of their families, and gives them financial freedom. We empower our delegates to be leaders of other women as they support them in their work.
Handmade and High Quality Products
Knitting is a traditional skill here, so products are made with high-quality craftsmanship. Each handknit item is made with the best available materials and goes through several quality control checks before it is sold. Each item is unique and beautiful. Every item is one-of-a-kind.
Honoring Culture
We love and celebrate Azerbaijan! We strive to preserve the traditions of this beautiful craft through research, and documentation of knitting history and advocate for future generations to learn it. We conduct business in culturally appropriate ways, such as meeting women in their homes over cups of tea.
